Jim Bannon There is a lot of truth in the expression "any club is only as good as its officials", and in Jim Bannon, the Yorkshire Canary Club is lucky enough to have one of the best secretaries in the business.

Jim follows a long line of successful YCC secretaries, all of whom lived relatively locally to the Saltaire home of the club. Jim took up Yorkies in 1989, and became Secretary of the YCC in 1994, in the club's Centenary Year. That 'baptism of fire' resulted in the clubs all time record entry.

In recognition of his services, Jim was elected to the position of Life Member of the YCC in 2003.

Now a successful Champion exhibitor, Jim has taken up judging, and has already adjudicated at both CBS and specialist club levels. How long before he is invited to judge at Saltaire?
